Low Score Pitches Not Good Practice For World T20″ – MS Dhoni

After an amazing win against their rivalry team Pakistan, team India is quite confident about their performance in Asia Cup T20 tournament. However in a recent press conference, Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni have stated that although they have won both the matches at Sher-e-Bangla stadium at Mirpur, but still the pitch is certainly not an ideal one to practice on before ICC World Cup T20 which is to be held from next month.

According to the Indian skipper the team as well as the Indian Cricket Council thought that playing Asia Cup T20 tournament before World Cup might prove to be a good practice before such major event. But as far as the pitch is concerned, it is not at all good for any batsman to practice on. However, the pitch is proving to be a good one for the bowlers whether it be a spinner or pacer. An all total of 15 wickets fell in around 33 overs, which is not at all good for batsman.

He further stated that the pitch is proving to be a difficult one for the batsman as with too much bounce, it quite difficult to play big shots in such pitch. Although team India scored 160 against BanWorldcup T20gladesh in the opening match if Asia Cup T20 tournament, MS Dhoni mentioned that it was all because of the firepower that the Indian batsman have in them. Without the earnest effort of the Indian batsman played with, the results would also be same as what happened against Pakistan.

After defeating Pakistan by 5 wickets, India is looking forward to play with such dedication in ICC T20 World Cup. But obviously scoring low is not at all good practise for such big event. Dhoni also agrees to the fact that people does not come to the stadium to see 80’s and 100’s in T20 matches. Sixes and fours is what actually they want to experience throughout a T20 match. Captain Dhoni took his time to praise each and every member of his team and stated that he does not believe in comparison.

Although the whole Pakistan team went back to their pavilion at 83 but still Indian batsman had to suffer a lot. The difficult conditions of the pitch made batsman if both the team to struggle to score high. Even India lost five wickets to score 83 runs and what Indian batsman and the bowlers did was a nice job in such kind of pitch.
