The IPL New season will be going to start on 31 March. This time, the new rules and guidelines are added in the season of 10 teams. Now, teams can select the playing 11 after taking a decision on whether they want to bowl or bat in the toss. After the toss, the teams will have to name 4 impact players.

Along with this, new rules are added in the IPL 2023. This news will tell you about the new rules and guidelines added to this season’s IPL.

Captains of the team come with 2 playing-11

In the past 15 seasons of IPL, teams are only able to bring the same playing-11 during the toss. Even after the toss, they play with the same team, but now it happens.

But now, this season, the Captains of both teams in IPL will be able to bring the 2 teams during the toss. After the toss, when it comes to determining whether bowling or batting comes first, they are able to choose the playing 11 accordingly.

4 impact players also after the toss,

A new impact player rule has been added to the IPL 2023 season. Both teams will have to give the name of 4-4 impact players after the toss only. Out of the 4-4 impact players, the team can replace any of one player during a match with players that include playing-11. During the team innings in a cricket match, the players will be able to replace the player that uses the impact rule of 14 overs.

A team will be allowed to use the impact player one time only in the entire match. If he wants, he takes the replacement till 14 overs of the first match innings or till the 14th over of the second innings.

Impact player able to bowl full 4 overs

Teams allow replacing the player who is bowling or batting in a cricket match. The impact player gets the full overs to bowl in their account. Also, he will be able to bat as game-overs left in innings. There is only a maximum of 10 wickets falling in innings for the team.

New IPL Rule from SA20

The issuing team’s rule after the IPL toss appeared the same as the SA T20 Leagues. It was there that the rule to announce the terms after the first toss was begun. In this rule, the captains of both teams have to give a name to their 13 players before the toss. In this, the captain was required to remove any of the 2 players when bowling or batting came immediately after the toss.

The toss effect ends almost with the rule. Out of the 33 cricket matches, 16 are already won by teams that lost the toss, 15 matches are won by teams that won the toss, and 2 matches have remained inconclusive.

The toss effect will end in IPL.

This rule is added in IPL 2023 with the purpose of ending the toss effect. In the 2019 IPL, the match was held at home and away from the format. Then from the 60 matches, 34 wins by the team that won the toss, or 23 matches were won by those teams that tossed the toss, and the remaining matches teams are going to be inconclusive due to the season changes.

These changes also happened in the IPL condition.

  • All the teams get 75 minutes to achieve the 20 overs of the innings. If there are no overs at this time, then only 4 fielders instead of 5 will be able to stay outside the 30-yard circle for the number of remaining overs.
  • If the fielder or the wicketkeeper moves wrong during bowling, then the ball is termed a dead ball. With this, the penalty of 5 runs will also be imposed on the fielding team. Wrong movement, i.e., doing anything by the fielder at the time of bowling that distracts the attention of the batter or bowling before the fielder is bowled.
