Unable to access your default email folders.
The msncon.dll error indicates that there is a problem with the Outlook Hotmail Connector add-in. As a result, the Outlook Hotmail Connector is the source of this error message. It’s a freeware program from Microsoft that allows you to use Microsoft Outlook to access and manage your MSN, Live, and Hotmail accounts. Although the Outlook Hotmail Connector seems to be missing from your computer, you still have an MSN/Hotmail account set up in Microsoft Outlook. In this case, you have two choices:
- Either reinstall the Outlook Hotmail Connector or reinstall the Outlook Hotmail Connector.
- Alternatively, if you don’t want to use MSN/Hotmail anymore, delete it from your mail profile.
However, if you already have the newest version of the Outlook Connector installed on your PC and are still seeing this error message, the following actions may assist. To begin, manually enable the plug-in. Restart your computer and reinstall the Outlook Hotmail Connector. Then, using the Outlook client, delete the MSN/Hotmail account. Restart Microsoft Outlook and use the Outlook Hotmail Connector option to add the MSN/Hotmail account again. Restart the Office installation after the account has been successfully established. Re-create your email profile after it’s finished. This can help in solving the Microsoft Outlook Error [pii email 131546848961bc72085b].
The Microsoft Exchange Server connection is unavailable.
Because this is one of the most typical Outlook error messages, you may see it more than once. It’s possible that there isn’t a data connection accessible right now. As a result, you should begin by testing your SMTP connection using the Telnet protocol. If you’re not sure how to accomplish it, check out this Microsoft TechNet article. It’s possible that the Outlook data files, such as PST and OST files, are mistakenly locked and you’re unaware of it. It’s also possible that the Outlook data files have been set to read-only. You should double-check the permissions on these files and make sure that none of them are set to read-only.
Outlook is unable to establish a secure connection to the proxy server.
When the Outlook client attempts to connect to a server through an RPC (Remote Procedure Call) or HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) connection, this error message occurs. To remedy this issue, you must first review the certificate before contacting your system administrator. If Outlook starts up without a hitch in safe mode, the true issue is likely with third-party add-ins. Here, you must look for and disable any third-party COM add-ins.
