PSLV- C55- ISRO will launch the two Singaporean satellites on 22 April

The ISRO ( Indian Space Research Organisation) made the plan to launch the two Singaporean satellites on 22 April as part of the PSLV- C55 mission. Then the PSLV-C55 will be going to launch the TeLEOS-2 as the primary satellite, and this mission is called the TeLEOS-2 mission.

When the satellites launch

A PSLV polar satellite launch vehicle will launch a primary satellite, TeLEOS-2 and other satellites known as Lumelite-4. This launch will be done from the satish dhawan space center, Sriharikota, on 22 April.

Lumelite-4 will launch on 22 April as the co-passenger satellite. Both satellite, lumelite-4 and TeLEOS-2, weights 741 kgs and 16 kgs, are Singaporeans satellites and will launch into low eastward inclination orbit.

PSLV-C55

PSLV-C55 is considered a dedicated commercial mission of NSIL, NewSpace India Limited. It is the commercial arm of ISRO that will be used for international satellite clients from Singapore.

There is the 57th flight of PSLV and the 16th mission of the PSLV core variant. This thing makes it a light version of PSLV. The four core stages never use the six straps on boosters present in other forms of PSLV.

TeLEOS-2

As per the Indian space research organization, the TeLEOS-2 is prepared under a partnership with the DSTA ( Defence Science and technology agency).

  • It is a body under the Singapore government that performs defense and science-related activities, technology Singapore engineering, and aerospace Singapore company.
  • It is considered the primary Singaporean satellite that will launch on 22 April.
  • Once this satellite is deployed or operated, it helps to support the imagery satellite requirements of several agencies under the Singaporean government.
  • This satellite can carry the synthetic aperture radar payload and give all-day weather and night coverage details.
  • The best thing is that the TeLEOS-2 can also imagine the one-meter full-resolution polarimetric.
  • Polarimetry measures the plan rotation angle of polarized light caused when passing from a transparent material.

Lumelite-4

The Infocomm research institute of A*Star develops Lumelite-4 satellites. An advanced satellite was developed to determine the high-performance space-borne VHF exchange data system.

The VHF stands for high frequency. It means the satellite is designed for the high-performance exchange of high-frequency data. The main aim of lumelitte-4 is to increase Singapore’s maritime navigation safety and benefit the global shipping community.

POEM-2

There is The orbital experimental module is carried by PSLV-C55 called POEM.  This is 3rd mission of ISRO that carry POEM. PSLV-C53 was considered the first mission to carry this satellite, POEM.

During PSLV- C55, the fourth spent stage, the PS4 stage will use as an orbital platform to carry the scientific experiments through non-separate payloads. The PS4 stage will keep stable in space. The expected period for POEM operation is 1 month.

Conclusion

When all Singaporean satellites are separate, the payloads will be “ON” powered by command. Once it is confirmed that the stage has to get stabilization, the solar panels will be mounted on the PS4 tank that will be deployed. These satellites’ avionic packages and payloads will get power based on requirements.
