The United States has made a record of defeating Ecuador in the Copa America tournament. This a significant history made the by the team U.S in the football history of the country. The event has made U.S reach to the semi final of Copa America. The match was played highly skillfully only with some flaws & sends offs. The match opens it’s scoring in the 22th minute & the blow came from the side of United States by Clint Dempsey. The U.S got the lead into the second half as the two players of the other team were shown red cards & banished from the game.
The two players of U.S team Clint Dempsey & Gyasi Zardes goaled for U.S in either sides of the half time. From Ecuador team from the either side two players were sent off & the coach of Ecuador was sent back to the stand as banishment. In the 51th minute Antonio Valencia & Jermaine Jones were shown red cards & then Ecuador got back to the game.
Now the organizers are prevailed to set a semi final match either with Venezuela or with Argentina in Houston on next Thursday. Overwhelmed with the victory of U.S the coach of the team says, “Team performance was outstanding. They were helping each other all over the field”.
The striker Dempsey got the opener rose to head homes in the 21st minute from Jones. Brad Guzan made an Enner Valencia shot to the post. Though he could have done better in his angle drive & Bedoya could have done much better when the shot left him pass the ball to the post. The Ecuador team was unable to stand the U.S defense led by the two John Brooks & Geoff Cameron. Bothe the teams were playing with high temperament & intensity till the Ecuador was reduced to 10 players & Gyasi Zardes was sent back home.
In the banishment round Antonio Valencia was shown a red card for beating down Bedoya & his midfielder Jones due to raising his hands in an ensuing scuffle. The home sides lead was doubled the home side’s lead when he poked inches from the goal.
