The achievement of Padma Lakshmi is praised on social media after the jyoti Mondal, who became the first transgender judge. She worked as a judge in islampur lok adalat in 2017 west Bengal.
Also in 2018, transgender activist Vidya Kamble was hired as a member judge in a Nagpur Lok Adalat in Maharashtra. After this, the country got the third transgender judge, Swati Bidhan Baruah, who hails from Guwahati.
