India has a rich history of some of the wealthiest royal families, which is clearly evident in their style. The rare and exotic gems worn by the royalty were a symbol of their power. On ceremonial occasions when they were to appear in front of a large number of people, they used to wear these gems in elaborate and magnificent designs in their jewelry as well as used them in their accessories like turbans, on their swords and daggers.
Till date, it is a style trend to adorn jewelry in those splendid designs on ceremonial occasions. There are a lot of brands that do a great job in making these royalty inspired pieces. One such popular trend is Sunflower Necklace. You will find a vast collection of jewellery ranging from diamond ring for ladies, earrings, to bangles, bracelets, brooches, charms, lockets, necklaces, pendants and rings. However, it is very important to style them right. Here are a few such jewelry ideas you can adorn to channel your inner royalty.
CHOKERS
When looking to add the royal touch to your outfits, one can’t go wrong with chokers. Rich chokers in elaborate designs are like the hallmark of royalty. Wear a choker with your sarees, and watch people admiring your style. You can choose from a variety of designs available in different, exotic gems and diamonds to go with your look.
RINGS
Nothing says royalty like a solitaire ring. It adds the perfect amount of richness to your look while being elegant at the same time. If solitaire isn’t your thing, there are a lot of impressive designs available in diamonds for ladies. Alternatively, you can go for a rich sapphire or ruby ring to add some color to your jewelry.
HEADGEAR
Maangtikas and maathapattis in rich designs and exotic jewels is another thing you can add to your look to amp it up. If you want to go a little extra, put on a diamond tiara and channel your inner princess. A head accessory with a chic hairdo adds so much to your look.
PAYALS
Another element inspired by the rich Indian royalty that you can add to your traditional Indian wear looks are the glorious payals or anklets. A pair of richly designed payals with stones and gems and some ghungroos will add so much to your look and your vibe. Especially on occasions like sangeet, when you get to shake a leg and have fun.
Pick up jewelry pieces with diamonds or if you want to add some color, go for stones and gems in interesting colors like purple, green, blue and so on. While royalty inspired jewelry effortlessly lifts up your entire look, it is important to create a balance or one could easily look over decked. Wear one statement piece and add a ring to your fingers. Keep the rest of it minimal. Go for a soft and glowy makeup look without getting too dramatic and add a chic twist to your hair. Follow these tips the next time you have a special occasion coming up and feel like a million bucks!
