Bank Holidays in March 2021: Bank will be closed for 11 days, check the list of holidays before knowing

Are you aware of the bank holidays in the month of march? Yes, the bank will remain closed for 11 days in March 2021. If you are lucky then the days you have planned to visit the banks will not be the holidays. But still, certain uncertainties can not be ignored and you may face several problems. 1. Scheduling of bank work by the common public

The first thing you must do is to look at the calendar and notice the dates on which the bank has declared the holidays. If you have some important bank work in the month of March, then it is better to postpone them. Because not many days are left in the month of February.

2. Holiday on Maha Shivratri and Holi

Do not think that there will be continuous bank holidays next month. The banks will remain closed on some selective dates. No bankers will work in these 11 holidays of the month of March. Please remember that holi and Mahashivratri in march 2021 are the bank holidays. 11 March is Maha Shivaratri, 29 and 30th March are two consecutive holi holidays. Please postpone your visit to the banks on these holidays.

3. Holiday on 5th March

Mizos celebrate their festival named Chachar Kut on this very day. By this time they wait for the cut bamboo and trees to dry. Thereafter they burn them for jhumming. So the festival day of Mizos is declared as a bank holiday.

4. Holiday on Sundays and Saturdays

Yes, there will be no work in the bank for 2 Saturdays and 4 Sundays in March of 2021. Other than these there will be sure holidays on 5th, 1th, 22nd, 29th, and 30th of March 2021.

5. Holiday on Bihar day

22nd March is the date when the state of Bihar was formed. So this day is declared as a bank holiday.

6. Two days strike starting from 15th March

On these two days closure of banks is announced for protesting against the decision made by the government. You all must have heard that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has declared privatization of two public sector banks. Bank unions are strictly against the privatization decision. Such a protest is made by the 9 organizations of bank employees.

Continuation of banking on these holidays

These holidays are fully confirmed. No one can help you in the banks on these holidays. The new financial year will start from the very first day of the month of March. Today in this digital world, almost everyone is familiar with online banking. Yes, internet banking is open to help common people during these bank holidays. You can complete all your banking tasks with the help of internet banking. However, RBI has declared that the holidays may vary from one state to another.
