India In A Secret Mission Against Bangladesh : ICC World T20

After attaining a marvelous win against Pakistan at Eden Garden, team India is set play against Bangladesh at M Chinnaswamy Stadium as on Wednesday. Although team India is now in a balanced position but still the chances remains that the team might not get any place in the knock out round even if they beat Bangladesh in the upcoming match.

This match is considered to be a vital match for team India as they will not only have to win this match but they also have to keep their run rates high during the entire match. This might increase the Net Run Rate (NRR) of the team, which will help them to qualify for the Semi finals. With one loss against New Zealand and one win against Pakistan, the present NRR of team India is -0.825, which is not up to the mark.

Australian team is in same situation but with comparatively higher NRR than team India. Thus in order to keep their place secure in the semi’s, India will have to play a strategic match against Bangladesh which laying more emphasis on the run rates. New Zealand is already through the quarter finals while Pakistan can be considered out of the tournament leaving team India and Australia.

If India win against Bangladesh at Chinnaswamy stadium then they will have to face Steve Smith’s team at Mohali on 27th March. Both India and Australia have two points in common and it is their run rates based on which it will be decided as who will qualify and who will not. In order to avoid an early escape for the World Twenty20 Series, Captain Dhoni and his team are all determined to show off their skills in the upcoming match against Bangladesh.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni recently on a press conference stated that, “In the first game our run rates went down. So it’s not only about winning but they have to take care of the run rates at some point.”

Again team Bangladesh, although they already are out of the tournament but still they want to give team India a tough fight at Bangalore on Wednesday. Seeking to win against India after two consecutive loss against Pakistan and Australia, they too are ready to face the Indian Cricket team. After the team’s top bowlers got suspended for illegal actions, Bangladesh captain stated that they still have two more matches in front of them and they are ready to give a tough competition to their opponents whoever they may be.

As per MS Dhoni, the team still has a scope to improve their game in coming two matches before Semi finals but according to the experts, team India has a great chance ahead of them to increase their net run rate if they want to secure their position in semi finals.
