Although the greatest press coffee makers have a detailed design, the market is flooded with minor variants on the form, each claiming its breakthroughs and competing for coffee press supremacy. Eileen French Press
In its stylish and sleek design, the Bodum Eileen made a consistently well-rounded coffee cup that works as an insulation layer to keep your coffee warmer for longer. The sturdy frame prevents the carafe from shattering, a recurring problem with French glass presses. It gets based on the same principles as the popular Bodum Chambord French press, which we also tried and recommended. The stainless-steel filter is strong, well-fitting, and quickly pulls down, leaving almost no silt behind. The frame comes in various colors, including black, chrome, gold, copper, and white.
French Press Kaffe
The charm of making coffee in the Kaffe French press is seeing the plunger separate the grinds from the good stuff. The all-glass carafe has sleek, stylish, and modern lines and gets made of heat-resistant borosilicate that can tolerate extreme temperatures. We liked the double-wall feature that keeps the coffee hot. Even though it is glass, the handle is robust and does not feel hot. There were no grounds in the coffee, so it tasted smooth. We discovered that a tiny metal bit holds the filter together and can easily be lost during our experiments, so keep an eye out for it when disassembling it to wash it.
Espro P3
The Espro P3 is perhaps the most “innovative of the models I tested.” The filter is a two-layer mesh cage that filters out tiny particles, allowing you to experiment further with grind settings. (How about grinding your coffee in an espresso machine? Strange things are afoot!). The resulting coffee is cleaner than any cup I’ve prepared with the other French presses, but it isn’t easy to clean and doesn’t produce the heavy, nearly viscous coffee that a French press should produce.
The Coffee Gator
The Coffee Gator get made of multilayer stainless steel, which is durable and good at keeping coffee hot for long periods. The second filter keeps grit and coffee sludge out of the final cup while still producing the hefty coffee you’d expect from a French press.
