Indian Hockey breaking all records in Tokyo Olympics 2021

Hockey has always been one of the most loved sports of the entire nation over a very long period. People not only what’s the sport with great enthusiasm but also support the national team with great Pride. It’s an actual movement of joy when the national men’s hockey team won the women’s soccer team perform exceptionally well, especially when the platform is as big as Olympics. Tokyo Olympics 2020 had seen a fantastic performance from both the men’s hockey team and the women’s hockey team that represented India on the grand platform. The players have been practicing over a long period, and the results have been clearly showing through the performance of the games.

Performance of men’s hockey team

The men’s hockey team has met the entire country proud after their performance which has displayed in the entire world in Tokyo Olympics 2020. This grand event was primarily supposed to happen in 2020, but because of their covid pandemic happening in the world, it was postponed to 2021. The men’s team’s performance has been truly fantastic as they had reached the semi-finals and had surprised the entire world with the fantastic performance.

The men’s hockey team had a soaring performance from the very beginning starting from the first match against Argentina. This match was a pool stage match where India won the match by 3-1. In the next match, the Indian men’s hockey team defeated Spain by 3-0. But in the next match, the Indian team had to face a bad loss to Australia, where the one was by six goals. But the loss couldn’t stop the Indian men’s hockey team from showing a billion performances.

In the next match, they defeated New Zealand by 3-2 to qualify for the quarter-finals. In the quarterfinals, the Indian team defeated Great Britain by 3-1 step into the semi-finals for the first time in several decades. But the team had to face an unfortunate loss in the semi-finals to Belgium and is now is set to compete with Germany for the bronze medal.

Performance of the women’s hockey team

But many people had many expectations from the women’s soccer team considering their performance in the previous Olympics. But this year was truly spectacular as the Indian women’s team had shown great performance and had made the entire country proud. In the first match in the pool stage, the Indian women’s hockey team defeated Ireland by 1-0. But it was completely unfortunate to see that the next three matches in the pool stage women’s hockey team had to face consecutive losses because of these statistics, which somehow made it into the quarterfinals.

At this point, most people did not have many expectations from the women’s hockey team after three consecutive losses, but this time, the result was completely different. The women’s hockey team defeated one of the deadliest opponents in the entire tournament. The team faced Australia in the quarterfinals and then defeated the Australian team by 1-0, which surprised the world. The Indian team moved into the semi-finals, where they’re scheduled to face Argentina.

Both the men’s and women’s hockey teams have truly made the entire country proud of their excellent Olympics performance. They didn’t only win respect and love from different people worldwide, but they also broke several records in this huge tournament.
