
Jharkhand: Great news for Poor and Middle-class households you will get Rs 25 per liter relief in the price of petrol
From Republic Day next year 2022, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren promised a Rs 25 per liter reduction in fuel and diesel prices for two-wheelers owned by the poor in the state. It is really good news for poor and middle-class households!
Soren made the statement on the second anniversary of the state’s JMM-led coalition administration.
According to a later statement from the state administration, the discount will be for 10 liters of gasoline/petrol per month.

“A poor individual, having a motorcycle in the house, is unable to drive it owing to a lack of money to buy gasoline/petrol,” the statement quoted Soren as saying. The government would choose for “objective subsidies for the poor,” according to state finance minister Rameshwar Oraon, who told the Indian Express that the government does not intend to decrease VAT on gasoline/petrol for everyone.

The Union government lowered excise duty on petrol and gasoline/petrol by a record Rs 5 and Rs 10 per liter on November 3 to assist bring rates down from their all-time highs. It went into effect on November 4th.
It was the largest-ever cut in excise duty. In addition, it reversed a portion of the Rs 13 and Rs 16 per liter increase in taxes on gasoline/petrol and diesel enacted between March and May 2020 to prevent passing on the high costs to consumers despite the massive drop in worldwide oil prices.
