IPL Opening Ceremony Ends: Time to Start the Main Fight
The opening ceremony of Indian Premier League took place in Mumbai and the stage was set on fire with a full package of entertainment. Major Lazor, the group from Los Angeles came out with their most popular tune Lean on that made the entire audience speechless. Actors Ranveer, Katrina, Jacqueline and Bravo also carried out a colorful performance along with singer Shweta Pandit coming out with an English number.
Ranveer was given the responsibility to call the names of the performers Yo Yo Honey Singh, Jacqueline, Katrina and finally DJ Bravo. Ranveer made a request to Bravo for the ‘Champion moves’ and all others followed the steps, as performed by Bravo. Overall, it was a glamorous event and everyone performed their best making the opening ceremony a grand one.
Ranveer Singh also made a quick entry with the cricket kit consisting of bat, pads and gloves that would help the teams to play well. He performed his famous dance number Dil ne maari entriyaan re, dil me baji ghantiya.
Next, Sameer Kochhar speaks for Kings XI Punjab along with captain David Miller who was appointed as the new one. Yo Yo Honey Singh next performs the hit numbers Kudi da and Dam Dam Dam Dam and the entire audience realized the real charm of IPL opening ceremony. He then starts with Chalo, Chalo and with him joined other performer DJ Bravo. Famous Bollywood singer Ankit Tiwari also joins him and he came out with a real heart throbbing performance.
Next, Katrina Kaif makes a glamorous entry and the crowd burst into loud cheers, as she started her dance number Dhoom Machale followed by Bang Bang. Sanjay Dutt and wife Manyata Dutt also attended the event and he revealed that Sachin, Ganguly and Shewag are his all time favorites while it’s cricket. Jacqueline’s power performance also touched the audience and the entire event becomes memorable for such breathtaking performances.
Finally, the captains started singing the MCC spirit taking the cricket pledge that indicates the beginning of a fair game. Today, it’s only a few hours left to enter the main competition and everyone is waiting to see how would finally grab the victory. The first match is between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants and would start from 7PM today.
