Fans and professionals of the Indian film industry alike filled social media channels with warm greetings for actor Ranbir Kapoor, who celebrated his birthday on Tuesday. Ranbir’s mother, the legendary actor, Neetu Kapoor, took to Instagram to post a family photo and wish her son a happy birthday.
Ranbir Kapoor, the heartthrob of Bollywood, turned 39 on Tuesday, and to celebrate, Yash Raj Films released a sneak peek of the actor’s avatar from his latest film Shamshera.
Ranbir has a scar on his forehead, contributing to the film’s concept and the mystery surrounding his look. The makers have aroused people’s curiosity in the mark by calling it “The Mark of Shamshera,” The very intriguing teaser has gone viral on the online platform.
The filming of ‘Shamshera’ began in December in the year 2018. And according to sources, on March 18, 2022, this film will be released internationally. Directed by Karan Malhotra, in Shamshera, Ranbir is paired with the beautiful Vaani Kapoor in this action thriller, and Sanjay Dutt will portray Ranbir’s ruthless adversary.
The film is an Indian version of Howard Pyle’s “Merry Adventures of Robin Hood,” set in the 1800s during the pre-Independence era. The narrative is around a deception tribe that battled for its rights and freedom against the British. Sanjay Dutt plays the antagonist in ‘Shamshera,’ which will feature Ranbir Kapoor in a never-before-seen role.
A massive fort was built for Goregaon’s Film City film, which took two months to prepare and 300 people to finish. Vaani Kapoor pushes her creative boundaries by learning Kathak from a professional for the film. Vaani had previously told PTI that the plot of “‘Shamshera’ reminded her of Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit’s blockbuster film “Khalnayak,” which was released in 1993. She said, “We grew up watching movies like ‘Khalanayak’ and a few others.”
That (‘Shamshera’) gave me a sense of it. It’s a one-of-a-kind and intriguing flick. One of my favourite films is Karan Malhotra’s ‘Agneepath.’ He knows the limits to which each feeling should be pushed. Being a part of a film like that and coming from a filmmaker like Karan was the icing on the cake.”
Ranbir Kapoor is set to have a busy year with a slew of films. Apart from ‘Shamshera,’ he has Luv Ranjan’s next with Shraddha Kapoor in the works, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal,’ starring Parineeti Chopra, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol, slated to release on Dussehra 2022.
Ranbir will next be seen in Brahmastra, a sci-fi mythological drama. Ayan Mukerji directed, and Karan Johar produced this picture. The film will star Alia Bhatt as the female lead and television’s hottest talent Mouni Roy as the villain. Alia’s character is named Isha, while Ranbir will portray Shiva, a man with abilities. The release date has been set for early 2020.
Ranbir is now in Jodhpur with his girlfriend, Alia Bhatt. The pair are exploring wedding venues in the region, according to reports.
