MS Dhoni praises Rohit Sharma and Pandya for Victory against Bangladesh
On the event of marvellous win against Bangladesh, Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni praises Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya keeping in mind the stiff situation during first 10 over. The partnership between Rohit and Pandya, which was much need at that time leads India to an easy win against their opponent. With 83 salvaged run from 55 balls, Rohit Sharma again proved that he can be a match turner in major events like such happened last night.
Given the difficult condition of the pitch at Mirpur the Indian team captain stated that “Rohit Shrama’s batting was special at that point of time when the team needed a partnership to hold on to the situation”. The way Rohit Sharma makes use of the pace bowlers was magnificent which allowed the team India to gather few more runs towards the end of the match. MS Dhoni on a press conference stated that this ability to bowl and bat has proved to be a ‘game changer’ for team India.
It was when the middle order of team India was not able to perform as expected keeping in mind the difficult pitch conditions, which also includes Yuvraj Singh. This is when the duo made a great partnership till the end of the match and provided India with a comfortable win. Overall the first match of Asia Cup T20 was exciting to watch not only the batting spirit but also the bowling performance specially by Asish Nehra taking 3 wickets for 23 runs along with Mahendra Singh Dhoni creating a new world record of number of catches taken by skipper.
Praising both the players for their excellent innings on the first match, Dhoni also stated that that the board is looking forward to offer Hardik with more matches to play. This will help the 22 year old player to enhance his all round abilities to much higher level by facing real life situations like what happens yesterday.
