So this year not only the team is playing to win for second time in a row but they also are defending their winning title.
Ricky Ponting who played for Mumbai Indians for almost two years is the new coach of the team since 2015. face any challenge. Well it can be seen that the new coach is quite excited about his team and hopes to win the title this year.
The team definitely has a chance to take over the title again keeping in mind the total line up of the team. Taking about the batting line up, the team has Rohit Sharma who is considered as one of the best openers. As we a can see that the skipper is in good shape and has also performed well in the World Cup series. Again players like Lendl Simmons, Corey Anderson, Jos Buttler and all rounder Kieron Pollard are there to provide a strong batting line up for the team.
