Sixth Successive appearance of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Yuvraj Sing in ICC World T20

In a recent announcement made by BCCI, the council members have unanimously decided to feature Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Yuvraj Singh in International Cricket Council Twenty20 World Cup tournament, which is to be held starting from next month. All the nations have actively took part in this 27 day tournament.

As this will be their sixth consecutive appearance in ICC T20 World Cup, skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, opening batsman Rohit Sharma and middle order star Yuvraj Singh will have much to offer to the younger players of the team. These three star players from are among those 19 players from all the countries who are also representing their countries as an experienced player who have played in all previous seasons.

After the huge inaugural of T20 World Cup staged at South Africa back in 2007, a total of five countries has hosted the tournament which also includes Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, England and West Indies. This year the tournament is hosted by India in total of eight venues which includes Eden Garden, Kolkata scheduled to host the Finale of ICC T20 World Cup.

Just like India, West Indies has also included their three most experienced players who have played in all of T20 World Cup since 2007. An all total of 19 players from all the countries are going to participate in the men’s tournament as experienced professionals. Similarly, in women’s event, a total of 29 players are going to play for their countries who have experience in playing all the last seasons starting from 2009.

Jhulan Goswami, Mithali Raj are among those 29 experienced players who are going to represent our country in Women’s T20 World Cup tournament. This year will be their fifth successive appearance in the tournament. Again considering the men’s tournament, Bangladesh team will have their five most experienced players like Shakib Al Hasan, Mahumdullah, Taminlm Iqbal, Mashrafe Mortaza and Mushfiqur Rahim playing for the country in the tournament.

Similarly players like AB de Villiers, JP Duminy from south Africa, Shahid Afridi from Pakistan, Shane Watson from Australia, Nathan McCullum and Ross Taylor from New Zealand and Lasith Malinga, Tilakaratne Dilshan from Sri Lanka can be seen on the ground playing for their country in T20 World Cup since 2007.

On the other hand, Women’s T20 World Cup is of equal interest to all the viewers and has gained a huge fan following over past few years. Playing alongside men’s event since 2009, this year all the countries have adopted the same strategy as that of men’s event i.e to include few players who has experience in playing all the last seasons.

Countries like Pakistan, England and South Africa has decided to offer their experienced players to play for their countries in the coming tournament. Well each of these countries has added four players who have played in last four seasons of T20 World Cup. Players like Sarah Taylor, Lydia Greenway ( England), Mignon du Preez,  Trisha Chetty (South Africa), Suzie Bates(New Zealand) are few popular players who will be representing their respective countries in Women T20 World Cup Tournament.
